Hackney Herbal is a project that connects people and herbs in Hackney. We are growing herbs at different sites around Hackney and using the harvest to run events that celebrate the extensive and beneficial uses of herbs. As part of this process we are creating unique herbal tea blends that are being sold to raise funds for the project. The proceeds from this help to fund our community herbal work promoting wellbeing as well as the regular courses we run at the Centre for Better Health.
You can find out more about Hackney Herbal on our website.
8-week herb-gardening course for Hackney residents
A free-course for Hackney residents. We will be holding a taster session on Wednesday 7th June, 11-1pm to find out more. Please email Nat for more details and to register your interest.
This year we are looking for people and growing spaces to take part in our new community project. The Hackney Blends project will support gardening groups in Hackney to grow, harvest and blend their own herbal tea. Training sessions and resources will be provided to show the groups how to create their own herbal tea blends and these will be showcased at a community celebration event to be held in September 2017. Please email us for more information about how you can take part.
