Volunteering

We have dedicated volunteer groups for our dye, flax and herb projects.

They help us to grow plants for dyeing and fibre in Cordwainers Garden as a way to show the different uses of plants and to inspire people to get involved with nature on their doorsteps.

Our volunteers will learn about growing, tending, harvesting and drying plants for colour and fibre.

They also have the opportunity to develop their own practice through experimentation at the garden and gain experience of working on community projects.

They  help us with our community and school workshops and looking after our dye beds.

This is an experimental project to see if we are able to support more volunteers and exchange skills.

We also organise volunteering activities for individuals and groups who are looking to give their time to help out a good cause. We strongly value the contribution that volunteers can make in helping us to achieve our goals. We also believe in reciprocity and strive to create opportunities that promote learning, a valued experience and personal development for all our volunteers.

Please see our Team London profile for all listings of volunteering with us.

Group volunteering

We can help to organise a volunteer event for your group and offer activities to suit all ages and abilities. We also have opportunities for CSR volunteer days and are happy to design the day around the interests of your team.
